Powdair: Ticket sale starting soon

The new airline for British skiers wanting to go skiing in the Valais region has new features on its website.

As has been known for some time now, British venture Powdair will start proposing new flights from Sion, the capital of the Valais region in Switzerland, to various airports in the UK and in Northern Europe on December 14th. The airline will be based in Sion, but is mainly targeting skiers from Great Britain and Northern Europe who want to come skiing in the various Valais resorts without the hassle of transferring to Valais from Sion or Zurich airports. Flights will be offered from Sion to London-Luton, London-Southend, Manchester, Southampton, Bristol (England), Edinburgh (Scotland), Antwerpen-Deurne (Belgium) and Hamburg (Germany).

While it had originally been planned to to launch the proper website with ticket sale capability on 6th June, Powdair had to report that date, in response to huge demand from clients for onward transportation from Sion Airport to the ski resorts of choice. Thus, clients will now be able to book both their flights and their transfers at the same time on the Powdair website, which will launch on Tuesday 13th June.

In other news, Powdair is apparently considering opening new routes into ski hubs such as Chambery and Innsbruck. Clients are welcome to state suggestions or send in questions and comments at fly@powdair.ski.
