The highlights at Zurich Airport during the WEF
With the start of the World Economic Forum (WEF) 2025 in Davos on Monday, 20 January, Zurich Airport will once again be the focus of international attention. Around 1,000 additional aircraft movements are expected between Monday and Friday, 24 January, as more and more business jets, state aircraft and helicopter transfers increase significantly. Due to the short notice of many visits and the limited number of stands, this figure is only an estimate.
As in the previous year, Jet Aviation is offering WEF guests the opportunity to refuel their aircraft with a sustainable fuel (SAF), according to a press release from the airport.
There is good news for spotters and aviation enthusiasts: the public viewing terrace B will be open daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. during the WEF week. Those who prefer to be right in the thick of the action can watch the take-offs and landings of the exclusive aircraft from popular spotting locations such as the west side of the airport or the area in Oberglatt.
Another highlight is the special tours offered during the WEF days. These guided tours provide exciting insights into the extraordinary flight operations during the World Economic Forum. As seats are limited, early reservation is highly recommended.
