Cathay Pacific presents new cabin

Cathay Pacific is now operating a modified Boeing 777-300ER with a new cabin. Business Class, Premium Economy and Economy have been extensively redesigned to improve passenger comfort.

Cathay Pacific presented a modernised version of the Boeing 777-300ER at a ceremony in Hong Kong. The first converted aircraft made its maiden flight on the Hong Kong-Beijing route. It will now gradually be deployed on other routes, the airline announced. The remaining 777-300ERs in the airline’s fleet will be converted over the next three years.

The standout feature is the new Aria Suite in Business Class, now equipped with a suite door for the first time, providing passengers with enhanced privacy.

There are also adjustments in Premium Economy: the seats have been ergonomically improved and a larger screen provides a better entertainment experience.

In Economy Class, the airline is focusing on optimised seat cushions, additional storage space and a revised in-flight entertainment system. The cabin itself has also been updated, with new toilets and more modern lighting.

The upgraded Boeing 777-300ER is designed to improve the travel experience on long-haul flights without changing basic procedures. Cathay Pacific says it is focusing on functionality and a clear focus on passenger needs.
