These are the most popular theme parks in Europe

Disneyland Paris continues to lead as the most-visited theme park in Europe, but Europa-Park in Rust, ranked second, has recently experienced much faster growth.

57.61 million people visited the 15 most popular theme parks in Europe last year. That is over two and a half million more than in the previous year, as the latest Theme Index Report shows.

Disneyland Park in Paris holds the top spot with 10.4 million visitors, while Europa-Park in Rust follows in second place though significantly behind, with 6 million visitors last year.

However, visitor growth in Rust is outpacing that of Paris. While Europa-Park grew by over eleven percent from 2022 to 2023, Disneyland Park only saw an increase of just under five percent.

The Walt Disney Studios Park in Paris also made it onto the podium with 5.7 million guests last year. It is followed by the Efteling theme park in the south of the Netherlands (around 5.5 million guests) and Tivoli Gardens in the Danish capital of Copenhagen (a good four million visitors).

The top ten is completed by Parc Asterix in the Paris suburb of Plailly (around 2.8 million visitors), Puy du Fou in Les Epesses, France (2.5 million visitors) and Legoland Windsor in England (around 2.4 million visitors).
