Five new Easyjet destinations from Switzerland

The low-cost airline Easyjet is expanding its services in Switzerland. It is adding five new destinations to its flight schedule this autumn and winter.

Easyjet is announcing several new routes from Switzerland for the upcoming months: The low-cost airline will connect Zurich with the English city of Manchester four times a week from 4 November and with Bordeaux in south-west France twice a week from 7 November. Both routes will be served all year round, according to Easyjet.

Starting from 7 November, the airline will offer year-round flights from Basel to London-Luton four times a week. Additionally, from 5 December, EasyJet will operate flights between Geneva and the Norwegian city of Tromsø year-round, and from 18 January 2025, it will offer winter flights between Geneva and Leeds/Bradford in England. Both routes will have two weekly flights.

What travellers can expect

Manchester, the economic powerhouse of northern England, is a vibrant city with a wealth of attractions. It is renowned for its football clubs, art galleries, and a music scene that has produced famous bands like Oasis. Historically, Manchester was the manufacturing capital of the world, adding to its rich cultural tapestry.

Bordeaux is celebrated for its vineyards, gastronomy, and unique way of life. The city boasts a long and storied history, complemented by its historical heritage. Despite its ancient roots, Bordeaux surprises visitors with its modernity and contemporary architecture. The Bordeaux wine region is one of the oldest and most prestigious in the world.

Tromsø in Norway is also known as the capital of the Arctic. In summer, the midnight sun shines here; in winter there are countless shades of colour. Sports and nature lovers can choose between numerous hikes, whale-watching boat trips and observing the Northern Lights in Tromsø.

Leeds and Bradford shine with festive lights in winter and offer enchanting Christmas markets with local specialities. Culture lovers will be enamoured with the world-famous museums and art galleries such as the Leeds Art Gallery and the National Science and Media Museum in Bradford.
